About the role

The role has a leading function in the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the bank's AML/CTF processes, governance, and documentation.

As a Senior AML/CTF Specialist, you will ensure that AML processes, procedures, and documentation are clear and comply with regulations and internal standards. The role does not involve operational AML investigations or case management but is central to supporting the AML operations with well-designed processes, strong governance, and high-quality documentation.

You will belong to the AML Process & Governance Management team within the first line of the AML organization and report to the AML Process & Governance Manager. The role is a senior expert function with independent responsibility and serves as a specialist reference within the team and the organization.

This is a role that requires high analytical ability, independence, and maturity in governance, as well as the ability to navigate complex AML frameworks, regulations, and stakeholder environments.

Main focus areas

• Develop, maintain, and ensure the quality of AML processes, policies, instructions, and manuals

• Ensure that AML models and associated documentation are updated, traceable, and regulatory compliant

• Identify deficiencies in governance and working methods and drive improvement and optimization initiatives

• Translate regulatory requirements and supervisory expectations into concrete updates in processes and governance documents

• Analyze alert outcomes, risk patterns, and model performance to strengthen the control environment

• Compile regulatory changes, trends, and typologies as decision support for further development of processes and systems

• Contribute to governance forums, internal reviews, and reporting on the maturity and compliance of AML processes

Your background

• Academic degree in economics, finance, law, criminology, business administration, or similar

• At least 5 years of experience in AML/CTF, financial crime prevention, risk, compliance, or governance

• Documented experience in AML processes, governance frameworks, model and documentation management, and regulatory interpretation

• Continuous professional development in AML/CTF regulations, internal frameworks, processes, and models

• Knowledge of best practices in process governance, documentation, and analytical methodology

• Active participation in internal and external training, seminars, and knowledge sharing
