Auditor Assistant at Norrköping Municipality

Are you curious, analytical, and ready to step into a role where you can be part of the action? As an auditor assistant with us, you will have a unique opportunity to help develop one of Sweden's larger municipalities – while kickstarting your career in public auditing!

Who are we?

We are three expert auditors working on behalf of seven elected auditors. Together, we review the entire Norrköping municipality – 10 committees, 14 companies, and two associations, as well as Finspång municipality through a collaboration agreement. You will come to a broad arena full of exciting activities, important societal issues, and the opportunity to see the whole picture behind municipalities with more than 10,000 employees.

Your tasks

As an auditor assistant, you will be part of a small and close-knit team where you work closely with the auditors and meet leading politicians and officials. You will:

  • Participate in dialogues with committees and boards
  • Engage in reviews regarding operational management, financial management, and internal control of everything from schools to companies – you will see more operations than most municipal employees do in an entire career
  • Follow up on how well the municipality's operations deliver on the goals set by the council

This is a role where you will have significant responsibility from day one. You will also have ongoing administrative tasks, such as managing invitations, agendas, minutes, and record-keeping – as well as keeping the office's website updated and ensuring that purchases and invoices are handled correctly.

Who are you?

You have a university degree – or are in your final semester – in political science, economics, accounting, or a related field. You may be at the beginning of your career and wish to develop in an analytical role with an interest in public administration and auditing.

We would like you to have experience in finance, auditing, or other administrative tasks.

You are quality-conscious and can easily adapt to changing conditions and needs where you need to handle many questions simultaneously. You work systematically, structured, and have a broad perspective on the operations. You easily create and maintain relationships; your colleagues are important, and you enjoy working in a team where you can discuss both successes and challenges.

You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and you understand complex linguistic materials and produce high-quality documents with simple and comprehensible language. You can easily familiarize yourself with different systems, and we would like you to have knowledge of Office 365 and its various functions.

And most importantly: you want to contribute to creating a better municipality for the residents.

Welcome with your application!
