Project Manager at KTH's Property Department

About the Group

We are now looking for two experienced project managers for the Property Group, which works to provide KTH with suitable premises.

We have many ongoing and upcoming local development projects, and we therefore need to expand our team. We will be 15 employees handling local issues at both a strategic and operational level. We are part of the Property Department within the Operational Support at KTH.

Our group is characterized by great commitment and drive to deliver good support to the operations and contribute to a vibrant campus. With extensive expertise in project management for local projects from a tenant perspective, we provide the operations with solid support and create long-term good local planning.

Job Responsibilities

As a project manager in the Property Group, you need to have expertise in both project management and property management from a tenant perspective. KTH does not own any properties but is a tenant. We have many laboratory environments in our operations and are therefore looking for someone with experience in this area. As a project manager, you will be in contact with the operations within KTH and various property owners in renovation projects as well as in relocation projects and operational adaptations.

You will, among other things, handle the following in this role:

• Pre-studies and analysis of the local needs for the operations
• Implementation of local development projects regarding learning environments, laboratory environments, and offices, in collaboration with the operations, property owner, and consultants. As a project manager, you will be involved from the pre-study phase to completion and handover to the operations
• Timelines for our projects as a tenant, budget, and financial follow-up of KTH's investments in projects (furnishing, equipment, access, data networks, moving, etc.)
• Monitoring areas such as accessibility, work environment, sustainability, and safety as well as technology implementation in premises, e.g., AV technology and digital learning, in consultation with expertise within and outside KTH.

Qualifications

Requirements

You should have:

• A university degree in civil engineering or a university degree in another area that the employer assesses as relevant, or equivalent competence acquired through at least 10 years of work experience
• At least 5 years of current work experience as a project manager for local-related projects from a tenant perspective, of which 3 years as the responsible project manager (from pre-study to completion and handover to the operations)
• Previous experience in laboratory environments and installation-heavy environments.
• Very good ability to express yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English as this is required in daily work
