Are you a Business Controller looking for consulting assignments in Stockholm within retail and commercial operations?

We are currently seeking a Business Controller consultant for a longer consulting assignment at an established energy company with a strong presence in retail. You will play a central role in monitoring sales, margins, and profitability within the commercial operations. Here, you will work closely with financial planning, performance tracking, and data-driven business management. The consulting assignment offers significant responsibility, close collaboration with the business, and the opportunity to develop analysis, BI, and commercial monitoring in a dynamic and sales-intensive environment.

Your employment offer

This is a full-time consulting assignment starting as soon as possible and running until August 2026. You will step into a business-oriented role with a clear connection to retail and commercial development. The assignment allows you to work both strategically and operationally with profitability analysis, business monitoring, and the development of control models in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid work is possible by agreement.

Your tasks

In this consulting assignment, you will work closely with the commercial operations.

• Monitor sales, results, and margins
• Conduct profitability and margin analyses at product and segment levels
• Responsible for forecasts, financial planning, and goal tracking
• Develop business monitoring and support new business models and revenue streams
• Participate in management forums and contribute with analysis and decision support
• Improve processes and working methods for more efficient and data-driven monitoring
• Assist in closing and reporting processes

You are expected to work independently and take clear ownership of the delivery.

Worth noting

The consulting assignment is 100 percent with a start as soon as possible and a planned end date of August 31, 2026. Working hours are weekdays from approximately 8 AM to 5 PM. The location is in Stockholm with the possibility of some hybrid work by agreement. Travel within Sweden may occur. Background checks and alcohol and drug testing will be conducted as part of the assignment.

Our expectations

We are looking for someone with a university degree in economics and several years of experience in controlling, preferably with a focus on commercial operations. You have excellent skills in Excel and are comfortable working with large data sets. Experience with BI systems, preferably Power BI, is important.

Experience in retail is a plus, as is familiarity with working closely in a sales-intensive environment. You express yourself fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

As a person, you are analytical, business-oriented, and confident in dialogue with managers and executive teams. You are proactive, structured, and have the ability to translate analysis into concrete recommendations that enhance profitability.
