Communicator with a focus on content production
The Communications Department has an overarching and coordinating responsibility for external and internal communication. The authority's planned communication is a strategic tool for developing, managing, coordinating, and supporting the organization's goals and missions. Effective communication should contribute to the authority's efficiency and service, as well as to the public's trust in us.
The Communications Department at the Swedish Agency for Government Employers has employees working in Östersund, Gävle, and Stockholm. The department is led by a department head with seven communicators and an information officer.
We are now looking for a communicator with a focus on content production in our digital channels. The role requires you to work independently and take responsibility for clarifying assignments when materials need to be specified. You will be responsible for the production and publication of high-quality content with short lead times. You will also support our press service to some extent.
Main responsibilities
In the role of communicator, you will produce and publish content for statenssc.se, LinkedIn, and the intranet. You will work with text and simpler video material and ensure that language, structure, and messaging are of high quality. You will update and further develop existing content with short lead times and adapt messages to different target groups. It is also part of your role to produce and manage simpler visual material, such as photos and image selections from image banks, as well as adaptations in templates for web formats. If necessary, you will assist the organization in making presentations clearer in message and form.
You will work independently and drive tasks from materials to published content, ensuring that the communication purpose is clear and reaches the right target audience before publication.
The role involves participating in editorial planning and supporting the ongoing work of the Communications Department. You will also assist in the press service as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant academic education in communication or other education deemed relevant by the employer for the position
- At least three years of documented experience in the last five years of independent content production for web and/or intranet, including text and simpler video material
- Basic knowledge of visual communication, such as working with templates and simpler graphic tools
- Good experience working with publication in web publishing tools
- Very good experience in writing clear language
- Experience creating and editing simpler video material for digital channels
Furthermore, you should have the following abilities:
- To independently take responsibility for your tasks; work independently, make your own assessments, and deliver quality
- To create structure in your work
- To ensure quality; quality assure content (language, structure, and messaging) even when materials need clarification
- Very good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
- Pedagogical and clear in your communication
- To meet others based on their needs; collaborative and unpretentious
Additionally, it is advantageous if you have:
- Experience with Sitevision
- Experience with Photoshop or equivalent image editing tools
- Experience working in press service or with media relations
- Experience in external and internal crisis communication
- Experience in communication work within the public sector
Other
The employment is 100 percent and a temporary position until December 31, 2026. The position is located in Stockholm or Gävle. Travel in the service may occur. This position may require an approved security clearance according to the Security Protection Act. As an employee, you may also be placed in a war service based on the needs of total defense.
