We are now looking for an experienced tester who wants to help strengthen our testing capabilities and contribute to sustainable quality over time.

Your Role

In this role, you combine technical depth in test automation with a broader perspective on how quality is built into the entire development process. We are transitioning towards increased automation, but a large part of the testing is still manual, which means that the role involves both automated and manual testing work. You will help us create structure, sustainability, and common working methods for testing while working closely with the team in daily delivery work. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence how we develop our testing operations in an organization where societal benefit is at the center.

The role includes, among other things:

• designing and implementing automated tests
• building and maintaining test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for testing
• working with API testing and integration testing
• conducting performance and load testing
• planning, executing, and documenting manual tests
• supporting development teams in testing issues and quality assurance
• contributing to test strategy, test processes, and risk-based test planning
• monitoring methods, tools, and techniques in test automation

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality and stability are reflected in daily development work. You weigh the needs of the business, technical conditions, and delivery goals against each other and help the organization make wise trade-offs. By contributing structure, collaboration, and current competence, you strengthen our ability to deliver sustainable digital solutions over time.

Unit for Digitalization and IT

At the unit for digitalization and IT, we work with business development and digitalization by leading, developing, and managing the Swedish Food Agency's IT systems while ensuring operation and support.

We are in a development phase where we strengthen our common structure and collaboration between teams. As a tester, you will be an important part of this work and collaborate closely with system developers, IT architects, and requirements analysts.

Together, we create sustainable and robust solutions that support the Swedish Food Agency's mission and contribute to an efficient and quality-assured operation.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way
• At least 3 years of experience in test automation
• Experience building test frameworks from scratch
• Experience with CI/CD integration for automated tests
• Experience in API testing

You have knowledge of:

• Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Jest, pytest, or equivalent)
• API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent)
• Programming languages (C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Git and version control
• Azure DevOps or Jenkins
• Very good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience in performance testing
• Experience working in the public sector
• Knowledge of JMeter, k6, or Gatling (performance testing)
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
• Certifications in ISTQB Foundation Level, ISTQB Advanced Level (Test Analyst or Technical Test Analyst), and ISTQB Test Automation Engineer
• English in speech and writing
