About FMTIS

You will belong to the Swedish Armed Forces' telecommunications and information systems unit (FMTIS) in Enköping, specifically the Systems Unit. The Systems Unit is responsible for technical change management in the Armed Forces' telecommunications network and the management of IT infrastructure. Your team is within the Infrastructure Department, which manages cross-system IT infrastructure and acts as technical specialists in areas such as local networks, data center solutions, as well as client and server solutions.

This is what you will do with us

You will work with development and management tasks for IT infrastructure with high demands on availability and IT security. The main focus of your role will be on local networks and network monitoring with a particular emphasis on IT security.

Main tasks

• Design and further development of the network monitoring platform with associated support systems.
• Documentation, e.g., configuration instructions and policies.
• Management of incoming components such as; Cisco ISE, Cisco Catalyst Center, Palo Alto Panorama, NNMi, Grafana, Windows Server, Linux (Red Hat), Git, Visual Studio Code, GitLab.
• Technical support to the operations organization and decision-makers.
• Participation in temporarily organized working groups or projects.
• Handling of inquiries within the area.

Examples of technologies and areas that your team works with include LAN, Cisco IOS/NX-OS, ACI, switches, routers, Zero Trust, Firewalls, DNS, NTP, DHCP, VPN, and WiFi. The team is responsible, in addition to network services, also for virtualization platforms, Microsoft-based platforms, backup platforms, Linux, storage platforms, and cryptosystems.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Experience with technical solutions in larger contexts.
• IT-related education at the university level or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
• Documented experience working with LAN, IP protocol family, switches, and routers.
• Ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.
• Driver's license B.
