Deputy Material Area Manager (Deputy MOA) in Signal Protection

FMTIS Technical and Maintenance Office Command and Control Systems (TVK Ledsyst) in Enköping and Stockholm consists of approximately 190 employees across seven departments. The unit's main task is the procurement and management of the Armed Forces' command and information systems throughout their lifecycle, from development to decommissioning, during war, crisis, and peace. The Armed Forces and the unit are experiencing strong growth, which means we need you!

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Deputy MOA, you will have delegated responsibility within the framework of the material area of signal protection. You are expected to independently drive material and coordination processes regarding the Armed Forces' supply of signal protection in close collaboration with the Material Area Manager.

The Deputy MOA primarily works on the following tasks:

  • Identifying future needs, ensuring long-term technical capability, and preparing central decisions for the entire lifecycle
  • Formulating guidelines for maintenance, operation, and support
  • Leading the work with the material plan (MP) and investment plan (IP) for the assigned area
  • Leading the work in the concept, development, and production phases of material systems
  • Ensuring agreed availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness during operation

The work is carried out in close collaboration with the MOA, Design Responsible (DesignA), the representative of the owner (ÄFR), and the appointed supplier (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) or others), as well as relevant defense branches/forces (FG/SK), the Ministry of Defence, and maintenance providers, both nationally and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience in managing IT systems in large organizations
  • Experience in coordination in leadership positions, e.g., project management, line management, or process leadership
  • Good knowledge of requirements specification for technical systems, primarily on the needs side
  • Academic education in engineering/IT/system science or equivalent experience assessed by the employer
  • Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
  • Driver's license B

Personal Qualities

You are a person who takes responsibility and drives your tasks forward. You can work structured and independently and are not afraid to make decisions when necessary to lead and drive the work forward. You are resilient to stress and have the ability to prioritize, as well as good analytical skills. You can collaborate with others and are social and unpretentious, qualities that are required as the work demands close cooperation with other organizational units and authorities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in the defense industry, FM, FMV, or other government authorities, as well as international collaborations
  • Knowledge of signal protection, IT security, or intelligence and security systems
  • Certifications in IT and information security
  • Experience in budgeting and financial follow-up
  • Experience from integrated business systems – preferably SAP
  • Integrated Logistic System (ILS)
  • Methodological competence and experience of a process-oriented approach (ITIL, SAFe).
