Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant is one of the largest electricity producers in Sweden, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in the country. Nuclear power has very low fossil footprints and is a stable and weather-independent energy source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, all year round.

Today, approximately 1,200 employees work at Forsmark, and we are part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with opportunities for fantastic development for you as an employee. Our workplace is beautifully located along the scenic Roslagen coast.

UL operates buses to Forsmark with wireless networks on the Gävle-Forsmark and Uppsala-Forsmark routes, allowing you to use travel time as working time if/when work permits. Buses to and from Forsmark are adapted to the working hours of daytime staff. You also have the option to use our remote workspaces in Gävle and Uppsala or work from home if/when work allows.

About the Role

We are expanding the security protection department and are now looking for two security protection strategists with a focus on information and IT security.

What Will You Do?

As a security protection strategist, you will contribute to ensuring that Forsmark has a strong and effective security protection system. You will participate in or lead efforts to ensure, manage, and develop processes and operations within information and IT security. You will work closely with colleagues in the department, supporting each other in leading, coordinating, developing, and controlling Forsmark's security protection work.

Your role will include strategic, tactical, and operational tasks. Your main focus within security protection will be to be responsible for information and IT security.

This position is part of the ongoing work at Forsmark to strengthen security protection, and you will have the opportunity to be part of this development journey.

Examples of Tasks:

  • Compliance with requirements, e.g., NIS2, PMFS
  • Support in the work with information classification
  • Handling and investigation of incidents
  • Development of working methods and methodologies
  • Participate in development projects
  • Participate in security protection control
  • Support and training in information security
  • Training in the area of IT security

Requirements

Who Are You?

You have the ability and interest to independently find solutions for improvements and development within your work area, and it comes naturally to you to take responsibility and complete tasks. You have a very good ability to collaborate. You possess strong analytical skills from a holistic perspective and stay updated on changes in legislation and industry practices. You enjoy collaborating with different parts of the organization to achieve common goals.

We See That You Have

  • University education or other post-secondary education in security or IT, e.g., from the Swedish Defence University, law, or security protection training
  • Experience in developing governing and supporting documents within the security protection area
  • Knowledge of the Security Protection Act, Cybersecurity Act, and the Security Police's guidance on security protection
  • Good ability to communicate verbally and in writing

It Is Meritorious If You Have

  • Experience in signal protection
  • Training in and experience of cyber/IT security work
