Information Security Coordinator

Do you want to contribute to the development of information security work in an organization where your contribution makes a real difference? We are now looking for an information security coordinator for a new role where you can combine strategic work with practical implementation – in close collaboration with a wonderful and engaged team.

About the position

As an information security coordinator, you will be part of the security and preparedness group and become a part of a competent team with a strong collaborative culture and extensive knowledge sharing. The role is new, which gives you great opportunities to influence and shape work methods as well as contribute to the development of the organization's information security at both strategic and operational levels.

You will have a coordinating role where you lead and follow up on information security work in close collaboration with the business, IT, and functions that work with technical information. Your mission is to create coherence, ensure compliance with requirements, and provide support in the organization's daily operations.

You will work with:

• Developing, further developing, and managing governing documents related to information security
• Conducting risk analyses and following up and evaluating measures
• Contributing to procurement work from an information security perspective
• Working with and developing management systems according to ISO 27001
• Information and cybersecurity work related to the Cybersecurity Act/NIS2
• Driving change and development initiatives as well as projects related to information security

Qualifications

We would like you to have:

• Relevant academic education or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience working with information security
• Good knowledge of security measures related to the Cybersecurity Act
• Good knowledge of risk management
• Experience with MCF's methodological support for information security
• Experience in information classification and protection of information
• Ability to develop, implement, and manage governing documents and support the organization throughout the process
• Confidence in informing, educating, and communicating with both employees and management

It is a plus if you also have experience in:

• Public sector, municipal companies, or politically governed organizations
• Data protection
• NIST, CIS Controls
• Further development of management systems for information security
• Certifications such as CISM, CISA, or CIPP/E
• OT security

Other information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure as we supply Sweden's fourth largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment. You should also be prepared to be placed in a war role within the framework of Uppsala Vatten and Avfall's role in total defense. Uppsala Vatten applies a 6-month probationary period.
