JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a security officer to support the operations at Kumla Prison. The prison's security work is under development due to increased capacity and the national security situation, as well as other needs identified by the authority. Security issues are distributed among the security officers based on their areas of responsibility.

The security officers play a central role in the security organization at the prison and provide support to management in security matters. They are responsible for monitoring, following up, and analyzing daily security work, including incidents that occur. The position includes quality assurance and revisions of local regulations, transport planning, placement processes, security assessments, and collaboration in the region's drug prevention efforts. You will collaborate with various functions within the authority as well as with other actors in the justice chain, such as the police.

The prison is now seeking a security officer with a focus on analysis, report writing, and the ability to understand and operate in various security assignments. The assignments may cross boundaries at times, requiring you to work on different types of security issues on behalf of the prison and support other security officers' areas of work.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you are performance-oriented, self-driven, and resilient. You are analytical and have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing. In your work, your ability to process information, conduct analyses, and compile this into a readable yet professional product will be central. Additionally, relationship-building skills and good collaboration abilities are key in this role.

Requirements:

• Complete upper secondary education in the form of a diploma or high school certificate
• Correctional education or other training deemed equivalent by the employer
• Ability to express oneself well in spoken and written Swedish

Meritorious:

• University or college education in the field of security
• Experience in qualified security work
• Knowledge and experience in the areas of ISAP, information security, and the security handbook
• Good knowledge of applicable relevant legislation and regulations.
