Organizationally, the cultural developer belongs to the culture unit within the Growth Administration. About 15 people work in the culture unit with activities such as libraries, cultural heritage, general culture, and tourism.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a cultural developer in Lindesberg Municipality, you will have a central and dynamic role in developing the municipality's cultural life. You will work both strategically and operationally to create good conditions for culture for the entire municipality. You will be an important voice in the ongoing work to strengthen the infrastructure for culture and ensure a broad, relevant, and inclusive cultural offering for all residents.

You will be responsible for general culture, the municipality's art, exhibition activities, and issues related to the design of public environments. By creating relevant programs, secure collaborations, and structures that make culture possible, you contribute to ensuring that the voice of culture is heard and that creative expressions have a place in societal development. The role also involves initiating new ideas and formats, capturing needs and trends, supporting local initiatives, and actively working to make culture a natural and obvious part of the municipality's identity.

Your responsibilities also include:

• Developing and implementing cultural events, program activities, and public activities in the municipality.
• Collaborating and building relationships internally with schools, libraries, and externally with cultural creators, associations, civil society, and actors in the cultural and creative industries.
• Managing the municipality's art collection and public art with purchases, hanging, maintenance, and exhibitions, including planning exhibitions in the art room at Grenverket.
• Working with the cultural guarantee, creative schools, and school theater to create cultural experiences in collaboration with schools and other activities.
• Strengthening organizers and cultural associations, such as community center associations, through advice and collaboration.
• Working administratively and operationally by planning, documenting, and following up on projects and processes, applying for project funding for the municipality's cultural projects, and supporting other actors in their applications and development ideas.

Work in the evenings and weekends may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for the position:

• University degree in cultural science or another field that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working with cultural activities, cultural projects, program activities, or events.
• Knowledge of exhibition activities and contemporary art.
• Driver's license (B).

Meritorious:

• Experience working in the cultural sector in municipal or other public administration and understanding what it means to work with cultural issues in a politically governed organization.
• Experience collaborating with various actors such as cultural creators, associations, schools, civil society, or regional cultural actors.

To succeed in the role, you enjoy collaborating, making connections, and building relationships. You thrive in a role where you can create, coordinate, and make a difference close to residents, cultural creators, and various activities.

To succeed in the role, you need to be able to plan your work, be curious about new solutions, and feel comfortable switching between multiple tasks. You communicate clearly and are used to expressing yourself in writing. Experience in administrative work is an advantage, but the most important thing is that you are structured, driven, and appreciate working together with others.
