The municipality of Lindesberg is looking for an economist to support managers within the Social Administration so that they can run their operations as effectively as possible.

The Finance Unit is a central support function that belongs to the Municipal Executive Administration. The Finance Unit works to provide support and service to managers within the municipality's operations so that they can run their operations as effectively as possible. Currently, our unit has seventeen employees: four procurement officers, nine economists, and four administrators.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work involves closely collaborating with managers and others within the Finance Unit to establish budgets, interim reports, year-end accounts, and annual reports. You will act as the contact person for the operations you will be responsible for. You have an important role in independently coordinating financial work such as budgeting, monitoring, forecasting, and financial analysis. The position also includes financial investigations, statistics, key figures, and comparisons. It also involves educating and informing managers and operational leaders within the financial area. Furthermore, there is an opportunity to work on various projects and drive development and improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed a degree in economics from a university or college. You have previously worked with similar tasks, and we prefer that you have several years of experience in the public sector and a politically governed organization.

You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We expect you to have good system and data skills.

To succeed in the role, you need good analytical skills and a positive mindset. You are a meticulous and structured person who can see both the big picture and the details. You have good collaboration skills, are communicative, and flexible. As a person, you have the ability to build trust and support managers through the financial processes in a pedagogical manner.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
