Instructor/Coach for Career Guidance (50%) – Karlskoga

About the Role

• As an instructor, you will lead staff-led group activities within Career Guidance (KVL) and support participants towards employment or studies. You will work closely with our career counselor who is responsible for individual guidance sessions. The position is 50% with the possibility of extension.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group activities according to our 8-week KVL schedule (motivation, strengths and interests, labor market, rights and obligations, health, awareness of norms, digital skills, study visits, etc.).
• Coordinate pre- and post-work as well as study visits (workplaces and educational providers).
• Document attendance and progress in our systems and contribute to materials for joint planning and final reporting according to agreements with the Employment Service.
• Ensure accessibility and equal treatment in all sessions (adapt language, pace, and materials, create a safe conversation environment).

Requirements (must be met)

1. Education:

• At least one (1) year of full-time studies at the post-secondary level with at least a passing grade.

2.Experience:

At least three (3) years of work experience equivalent to full-time in one or more of the following areas:

• management with personnel responsibility,
• recruitment,
• transition work for job seekers,
• study and career guidance,
• handling personnel issues (not just personnel administration),
• work with labor market and employment issues,
• work with social and group psychology,
• career guidance.

Other mandatory skills:

• Good ability to lead groups of adults, create structure, participation, and clarity.
• Experience documenting according to given templates and processes.
• Digital skills (Office, email, simple portals).
• Swedish in speech and writing at a level required to lead sessions and write factual materials.

Meritorious

• Experience from labor market services (KVL, ROM2, AUB) or adult education/folk education.
• Knowledge of the local labor market in Karlskoga and contacts with employers or educational providers.
• Additional languages besides Swedish, such as Arabic, Dari, Somali, Tigrinya, Kurdish, or Turkish.

• Pedagogical and comfortable with mixed language levels.
• Team player who collaborates closely with the career counselor and follows common processes.

Scope and Conditions

• 50%, daytime (some flexibility may occur based on the group's schedule).
• Location: Karlskoga. Start: as soon as possible by agreement.
• Employment form: 6-month probationary period.
