The main task of SCB is to provide users and customers with statistics for decision-making, debate, and research. SCB primarily does this on behalf of the government and various authorities. SCB also has customers in the private sector and among researchers. SCB is responsible for official statistics and other state statistics. This means that SCB should develop, produce, and disseminate statistics. Additionally, SCB should coordinate the system for official statistics in Sweden. SCB also conducts long-term cooperation projects with statistical agencies in developing countries, funded by Sida. SCB is located in both Örebro (head office) and Solna and has about 1200 employees. About the assignment
We at Novare are a proud and approved supplier of the government framework agreement in Sweden. We are now looking for two administrators for Statistics Sweden in Örebro.
In the role of administrator, you will primarily work with administration related to data supply. This includes collecting, processing, and providing data, which may involve reviewing, coding response data, or other administrative tasks for collection such as printing orders, dispatches, and data provider pages, etc.
You will also participate in planning, process development, and evaluation of projects, implementation of work processes, etc.
For this role, we are looking for someone who is driven and communicative. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have the ability to build relationships. You can structure your work and work flexibly.
The position is security classified, and you may need to undergo a background check and possible security clearance.
Examples of overall tasks:
- Join the collection team and perform administrative tasks such as sending out dispatches and reminders
- Contact data providers via phone and email (may involve both reminders and answering questions from data providers)
- Participate in relevant meetings with subject matter experts for the collection
- Participate in weekly meetings with the collection team and plan the week together
- Run simpler scripts based on given instructions
- Perform simple reviews and corrections of incoming data
- Collect data via websites and register them in the relevant system.
Requirements for the position
- high school or equivalent education
- at least three (3) years of work experience in administration
- good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel
- ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
- experience collaborating in teams
- experience meeting companies, the public sector, and/or organizations in advisory situations.
Desirable qualifications for the position
- experience leading teams.
Assignment period and scope
The assignment is full-time with an immediate start after a successful security clearance (hopefully in April) and lasts until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension. The placement is at the authority's location in Örebro.
