The Forestry Team is part of the municipality's labor market unit. We perform forestry work, including clearing brush in built-up areas. We also assist in preparing plots, industrial land, and road construction. We also work with cutting and splitting firewood and maintaining the municipality's canoe camping sites.

For educational purposes, we at the Forestry Team manage the municipality's forest areas close to urban areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Team Leader with us in the Labor Market Unit, you will work with a variety of tasks, from mentoring to working alongside our participants. In your role, you will meet people of different ages with various experiences, needs, and backgrounds.

We work solution-focused, so you will do joint planning with our coaches and participants, which you will follow up through development plans.

You and your colleague in the Carpentry will plan the work together and work closely together.

A large part of the job involves inspiring and motivating people who are unemployed or on sick leave, who are moving towards jobs or studies. You will be the one distributing tasks at our workstations based on needs and each individual's development.

Much collaboration occurs with staff within the labor market unit and external actors such as schools, employment agencies, social insurance, social services, and healthcare.

The role of a coaching team leader includes responsibility for the work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role of team leader, you should have relevant education for the position and work experience in the field, preferably with a pedagogical or social focus.

You enjoy working with people's development and have a genuine interest in forestry and forest management.

As a team leader, you need to be flexible, creative, and have experience in leadership and mentoring.

You apply a holistic approach and consider the entire individual's situation, working to motivate and help people find their own strengths and abilities to pursue education or work. We see it as a given that you believe every person can change with the right tools.

You are expected to work both independently and in a team and find it easy to collaborate as well as take your own initiatives, be flexible, calm, patient, structured, and solution-focused.

We appreciate knowledge and experience with individuals with mental health issues and NPF diagnoses, substance abuse issues, and language difficulties.

It is advantageous if you have chainsaw and brush cutter licenses. It is a plus if you are used to working with tools and practical tasks.

Knowledge of motivational interviewing, ACT, and the Supported Employment method is meritorious.

You should be able to express yourself easily in speech and writing as we administer our participants' step transitions.

A driver's license (B) is required.
