Description

In 2025, the Labor Market Unit will develop its operations by working with reuse.

We will move to more suitable premises for the assignment at the beginning of next year, with good conditions to carry out the reuse assignment. The unit's labor market administrators will also have offices there to facilitate collaboration and get closer to the participants.

The Labor Market Unit has four operations that receive interns, participants, and labor market employees: Custodial Services, The Greenhouse (green rehabilitation), Café Services, and Service Services. The unit also has four labor market administrators who work based on the BIP and Supported Employment methods. They are responsible for collaboration with the Employment Service, healthcare, the Social Insurance Agency, and also have contact with companies for internship placements, among other things.

The unit also has authority regarding financial assistance, with a senior social worker and five social workers. Individuals seeking financial assistance in the municipality are offered the opportunity to receive support through the municipality's labor market initiatives. Parts of the municipality's integration assignments also belong to the unit, where there is an integration coordinator responsible for reception and integration, as well as a housing manager in a shared collective housing for the target group according to the mass refugee directive.

The unit's overarching goal is to assist individuals in obtaining and retaining employment and to support them to other forms of compensation than financial assistance.

In 2025, the unit will expand with a goal: reuse that will contribute to social, economic, and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications and Job Responsibilities

The position of team leader will be within the Service Services operation where the reuse assignment will also be organized. In addition to the reuse assignment, Service Services is responsible for various tasks such as helping retirees in the municipality with certain services like lawn mowing, snow removal, etc., transportation, and other services for the municipality. As a team leader, you will be responsible for starting up and developing the part concerning the reuse assignment.

For the position, you need to have knowledge and experience in areas such as furniture renovation and restoration of various items, and work based on circular economy principles.

As a team leader, you will lead a group of labor market employees and interns and, together with your colleagues, lead and distribute the daily work. You work for a safe and good working environment and need to have a coaching approach towards the participants.

You also need to be flexible and find suitable tasks for different people in the workgroup as individual abilities need to be adapted to each participant.

A merit is having worked in a similar operation as described above and having experience with the target group, along with documented knowledge and experience in working with reuse.
