The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation, preschool, primary school, and child and student health, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future.

We are now making an investment in our HR organization and expanding the team to strengthen the administration's important work. As an HR consultant with us, you contribute directly to an operation that makes a difference for every child and student. You will have a broad mandate that spans the entire HR area, where your expertise in everything from labor law to workplace environment ensures the quality of our operations. Here, you will be part of a competent team within the administration and be part of a valuable network of HR colleagues throughout the municipality.

The position is located at the administration's office in the heart of Varberg, within comfortable walking distance from the train station. Here, we work closely with core operations, and our HR department plays a central role in driving and ensuring quality in all personnel processes of the administration. RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HR consultant with us, you are an important key person in providing qualified operational HR support to managers within the Preschool and Primary School Administration. In your role, you will contribute to development work and operational HR support in collaboration with the rest of your team.

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Providing qualified support to our managers on issues related to labor law, recruitment, rehabilitation, collaboration, collective agreement interpretation, and workplace environment issues.
  • Contributing to the strategic competence supply within the administration, identifying needs and proposing measures in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Participating and contributing to administrative and municipal joint projects, e.g., employee journeys, summer internships, and other HR initiatives.
  • Representing the administration in HR networks within the administration and the municipality.
  • Providing local operational understanding and insights in tactical processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree in HR/personnel science and experience in both operational and tactical HR work, preferably within the public sector.
