The mission of the Education and Labor Market Administration is to increase individuals' opportunities to find work and become self-sufficient through education, practice, and employment.

The Labor Market and Welfare department is responsible for planning, implementing, and coordinating the municipality's labor market initiatives as well as processing economic assistance. The overarching mission is to support residents in achieving self-sufficiency and being active participants in society.

The Labor Market and Welfare department is now seeking coaches for the Kompetenstorget unit.

The role we are recruiting for aims to support individuals referred by the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, Region Halland, or the Public Employment Service, who are particularly far from the labor market. The goal is to enhance their opportunities for work and studies, move closer to the labor market, or return to work by initiating preparatory work-oriented rehabilitation in collaboration.

Your Responsibilities

As a coach, you will need to work both in groups and individually as part of a team, providing coaching to participants. You will work with participants' government contacts and their career planning in close collaboration with the referring party.

You will conduct motivational conversations with individuals regarding education, work, and future plans, assess participants' needs, and create action plans to provide tailored interventions that are followed up. The methods BIP/Skapa and MI (Motivational Interviewing) will be used in the work.

Alongside other team members, you will collaborate with employers to secure internships that lead to employment and provide support during this transition.

We are looking for someone who has

• A relevant behavioral science degree or other education deemed relevant, and it is desirable that you have knowledge of labor market issues, the Social Services Act, and experience collaborating with the Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and healthcare.
• Experience working with participants who are particularly far from the labor market, as well as experience planning, leading, and implementing group activities, and knowledge of health and wellness work is an advantage.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt your communication style to ensure clarity of expectations for all parties involved.
• Structured and communicative, with the ability to create motivation, participation, and support individuals in driving their own labor market process forward.
• A strong ability to recognize, affirm, and provide individuals - regardless of background and circumstances - opportunities to participate in working life.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language and the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing, as documentation is required.
• A driving license is required as the job will involve a significant amount of work outside the organization.
