The Adult Unit is growing and currently consists of a unit manager, a team leader, and 9 dedicated social workers. Together, we work with authority exercises according to SoL and LVM for individuals over 18 years old, and a strong child rights perspective permeates our entire operation, regardless of the subject area of the case. We handle cases within financial assistance, harmful use and addiction, social psychiatry, violence in close relationships, and other adult cases within individual and family care, such as housing social contracts. Through close internal collaboration between all subject areas, we can benefit from specialist knowledge, work efficiently, and ensure that our citizens receive a coherent and secure handling.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a social worker in the reception, you are often the first person our citizens meet. You step in when the situation is new, sometimes urgent, and you make a difference from the very first contact.
You receive and handle applications and reports within all areas of the unit: violence in close relationships, harmful use and addiction, social psychiatry, and financial assistance. The unit is also responsible for housing social contracts, which gives you a broad and varied assignment.
Here, we work with high availability and receive both scheduled and spontaneous visits. This means a dynamic job where you need to be confident in your professional role, make quick and well-founded assessments, and at the same time stand firm in a professional and respectful approach. You play an important part in our work to be accessible, preventive, and knowledge-based.
In the role, you will:
- Receive and manage applications and reports of concern
- Conduct eligibility and preliminary assessments
- Carry out initial investigations and take urgent measures if necessary
- Provide advice and service and write statements
- Make decisions according to SoL and LVM
You collaborate closely with the police, health care, the region, and other parts of social services. The work is intensive, developing, and requires both structure and judgment, but also provides a unique opportunity to influence people's situations at an early stage.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in social work or other relevant higher education, with at least 3 years of recent professional experience in authority exercises.
- Experience in social services authority exercises within harmful use and addiction, experience working with ASI
- Experience in urgent assessments and the ability to plan and manage urgent interventions together with colleagues and team leaders
- Ability to handle high workloads and multiple parallel processes as well as prioritize and reprioritize as needed
- Knowledge and ability to document accurately and legally
Desirable and Preferred Competence
- Experience in financial assistance, violence in close relationships, and/or social psychiatry
- Knowledge of IBIC and Signs of Safety
- Flexible, confident, and able to prioritize in urgent situations
- Familiarity with many contact points and collaboration with various actors
- Trustworthy, attentive, clear in communication, and skilled at building relationships
- Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability
