Description

The Children and Family unit is responsible for the social services' authority for children and youth, including reception, investigation, and follow-up.

The operations are led by a unit manager and two deputy unit managers, one of whom is responsible for reception and investigation, and the other for the follow-up group.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with open care and is characterized by a clear focus on legal certainty, quality, and sustainable long-term interventions for children and families.

Job Responsibilities

As a deputy unit manager, you will lead the operational work within the follow-up group. You will lead and distribute the work and have partial personnel and work environment responsibility. You will ensure that the handling is carried out legally, structured, and with good quality.

The assignment includes responsibility for the foster home secretaries in the work group. You will lead and support their work with recruitment, investigation, and guidance of foster homes, as well as follow-up of placed children.

You will be a close support to employees in their daily work and actively contribute to the development of the operations together with the unit manager and other functions. You will be part of the management team and act as deputy unit manager in the absence of the unit manager.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Experience in authority work within social services
  • Relevant leadership experience
  • Experience and competence in foster care
  • Knowledge and experience of working according to BBIC
  • Good knowledge of legislation such as SoL and LVU
  • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing

Meritorious:

  • Experience in foster care
  • Leadership training
  • Knowledge of or training in Signs of Safety
