Are you a Swedish and Finnish-speaking childcare worker who wants to help build our preschool? We are looking for someone who wants to develop in their role as a childcare worker and be part of building the preschool of the future!

Uppsala is a Finnish administrative area and therefore has a mandate to offer preschool where instruction is largely conducted in Finnish.

In the picturesque area of Rosendal lies Stadsskogens Preschool, which is newly built with a large yard right next to the city forest. Here we focus on reading aloud, movement, and outdoor teaching. Our department for Finnish-speaking children is growing, and we need a Swedish and Finnish-speaking childcare worker.

Job Description

As a childcare worker with us, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing your skills, knowledge, and commitment with the child at the center. You will collaborate with other educators to ensure that the operations challenge the children to engage in activities, learning, and responsibility. Based on the governing documents, you will be involved in creating a developing, stimulating, and safe environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a childcare education or another education that the employer deems relevant for the position. To succeed in the job, you need to have experience working or interning in a preschool. The job requires that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and Finnish in both spoken and written form.

We would like you to have experience working with children in need of special support. It is an advantage if you have basic IT skills and knowledge of pedagogical documentation. Knowledge of the Education Act and the preschool curriculum is also considered an asset.

As a person, you are pedagogical and have an understanding of people's different conditions for absorbing knowledge. You find it easy to take initiative and start activities to achieve results. The job suits you if you collaborate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
