About the American High School

The American High School was founded on a strong educational idea. About the American High School, Uppsala

The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. The school is now in its fourth academic year and has approximately 260 students studying in the Natural Sciences, Economics, or Social Sciences programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a competent teaching staff with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will instruct our students in one or more subjects: social studies, law, and history. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, assessing, and evaluating your own teaching. You are expected to lead lessons based on our educational structure, which you will receive guidance in. You will teach in a digital environment using digital teaching materials combined with traditional literature. Instruction will be conducted in both Swedish and English. The position also includes mentoring a class.

The position is a part-time or full-time temporary position, depending on which subjects you can teach. The temporary position runs from April 2026 to June 2027. After that, there are good opportunities for continued employment.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a Swedish teaching license, qualified to teach social studies, law, and/or history, and who has teaching experience. You have a strong commitment to teaching and want to help develop the operations together with a strong team of colleagues, sharing our educational vision:
