Amerikanska Gymnasiet was founded on a strong pedagogical vision. About the Uppsala Campus

The school is centrally located in the Luthagen area. This autumn marks our fifth academic year, welcoming approximately 220 students studying on the Natural Science, Economics, or Social Science programs. Teaching is conducted in both English and Swedish by a highly qualified teaching team with a strong sense of community.

About the Role

As a teacher, you will instruct our students in English. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, assessing, and evaluating your own courses. You will lead lessons according to our pedagogical framework, with full support and guidance provided. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated and cohesive teaching team, where cooperation and collegial learning are integral parts of daily work. Teaching takes place in a digital environment utilizing digital learning materials alongside traditional textbooks.

This is a permanent position at 30 % workload, starting with a six-month probation period. Start date: August 3, 2026, or by agreement.

Your Profile

The position requires a Swedish teaching license and the necessary qualifications to teach English at the upper secondary level. Prior experience in upper secondary education is highly desirable. We are looking for someone who leads in line with our “Ramar & Kramar” principle, combining clear leadership and structure with genuine care for every student. Through your energy, empathy, and resilience, you easily engage others and foster collaboration toward shared goals. Teamwork and transparency are key.

You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English. You are adept at utilizing a wide range of digital learning tools and possess solid digital competencies.
