Student Assistant for Rotskärsskolan Grades 7-9

About the Position

We are looking for a student assistant to provide support to one or more students in their daily schoolwork and social development. The work is carried out in close collaboration with teaching teachers, special needs teachers, and special educators.

You will:

• Support students in the classroom and adapt materials and tasks as needed.
• Help structure the school day and establish good routines.
• Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Participate in planning and follow-up of the student's development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people, preferably in schools or after-school activities.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to build trusting relationships. Patience, sensitivity, and flexibility.

Employment Type and Duration

Fixed-term employment from August 11, 2026, to June 11, 2027. Possibility of extension.

Criminal Record Check

You must be able to present a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (Utdrag ur belastningsregistret).

Valid ID and Right to Work in Sweden

To work at Älvkarleby Municipality, you must be able to show a valid ID document indicating your citizenship. In some cases, you may also need to show a document proving your right to work in Sweden. If offered employment, you must be able to present one of the following:

• Passport
• Driver's license
• SIS-certified ID card together with a population registration certificate showing citizenship
• Other valid ID document clearly stating citizenship

If you are a citizen of a country outside Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also show that you have the right to work in Sweden (e.g., residence or work permit).
