About the position

Since 1993, Linnea's Swimming School has been providing swimming lessons for young children aged 3 months to 10 years. We work based on an organized and knowledge-based curriculum where water safety runs as a red thread. Our goal is to be at the forefront of swimming instruction for children.

We are now looking for swimming instructors for hourly employment. This position is suitable for you who want a long-term part-time job alongside other commitments, such as studies or another job.

About the work

As a swimming instructor with us, you teach children and their families in our operations in Uppsala. You work with the same groups repeatedly, which creates security and continuity for both the children and you as an instructor.

The work involves:

  • leading swimming lessons for young children of different ages
  • meeting and guiding parents in a secure and pedagogical manner
  • ensuring the teaching maintains high quality
  • contributing to a warm, professional, and service-oriented experience for our swimming families

Employment type and working hours

This is an hourly position with a fixed recurring schedule every week. The schedule is set on a term basis.

A work shift is usually about 3.5 hours per session. The work is primarily scheduled for evenings and weekends during the terms, but daytime shifts may also occur depending on operational needs.

We provide the training, but since it takes time to get comfortable, we would like you to be able to work for at least 1 year, preferably longer.

This is therefore not a summer job.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who:

  • have completed upper secondary school
  • are secure, responsible, and clear in your approach
  • have an empathetic attitude
  • are pedagogical and service-oriented
  • enjoy working with children and people
  • can bring yourself and contribute joy and energy to the teaching
  • have the opportunity to work long-term and regularly during the terms

Since we are a relatively small organization, you also need to thrive in a work environment where flexibility, collaboration, and good communication are important.

Merits

It is a plus if you have experience or are studying in:

  • childcare
  • pedagogy
  • psychology
  • healthcare professions
  • swimming instruction or other leadership experience

What we offer

With us, you get a meaningful and enjoyable job where you become an important person for the children and families you meet. You receive training from us and become part of an operation with long experience, a clear knowledge base, and strong values.

We believe that the key to success is our corporate culture. Passion, communication, and appreciation are important values for us. With joy in focus, we want to save lives by teaching children to swim early.

Application

Send your application with a cover letter and CV to [email protected]

Please tell us:

  • why you want to work as a swimming instructor
