Teacher for School Age Educare at Edsskolan in Östhammar

RESPONSIBILITIES

Now you have the chance to work in a school with a school-age educare (SAEC) department that focuses on development in a learning and safe environment. Our SAEC department operates both before and after the school day. Edsskolan is a grades F-3 school with approximately 200 students. We have six SAEC units for grades F-6, where the activities are adapted to the different age groups. The school is located in central Östhammar. We have joint planning meetings for the SAEC staff during daytime. We have a school developer in the municipality who invites new employees to appreciated introduction days, and you will also be part of a professional network with regular supervision.

As a teacher in SAEC, you are responsible for teaching in the SAEC department and collaborate with school teachers during the school day. We work in unit teams, and together with your colleagues, you create conditions for children's learning and development by actively participating in the children's knowledge creation and exploration in various learning situations.

We offer opportunities for continuous further education and networking in a well-functioning school development unit focused on development. You will have close collaboration with both educators and student health services. Come and develop with us!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility for SAEC, or alternatively have a pedagogical background and a great interest in SAEC teaching. It is an advantage if you have previous experience as a teacher, both in primary school and SAEC. Experience in subjects such as sports, woodwork, and metalwork is welcome. Good IT skills are required so that you can familiarize yourself with the systems we work with. If you already have knowledge of Unikum, Teams, and Tempus, that is a plus.

We place special emphasis on your ability to build good relationships with our students and to adapt your teaching to each student's needs. A positive basic attitude also helps to inspire students and show them possibilities and solutions. You are a cooperative and flexible person who, with engagement, contributes to giving our students the best possible conditions.
