About the School

Korsängsskolan is a school covering grades F-9 with just over 850 students. The school is located in central Enköping with a mixed catchment area, comprising parts of the town center and, to some extent, the countryside. The school was inaugurated in 1948 and has been in operation since then; additions and renovations have been made over the years. Now we are in an expansive and exciting phase as we have just gained access to new premises adjacent to the current school. The school is popular with high demand, and most students attend all 10 years at Korsängsskolan.

All activities in the school are characterized by "We have an uncompromising focus on the student's best interest, which means one step at a time and always forward." We have a well-developed student health service with a school nurse, school counselor, and school psychologist.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator or special teacher, you play a central role in the school's student health team. You work both operationally close to the activities and strategically in developing student health processes, teaching quality, and the school's work with support measures. Since we are filling three positions, we are looking for one teacher with a focus on mathematics and two teachers with a focus on language, reading, and writing. One of the positions involves work targeting the intermediate grades, and the other two target the lower grades.

The assignment involves supporting students' knowledge development and personal development, as well as mentoring and guiding educators in the work with extra adaptations, special support, and accessible learning environments. You work closely with school leadership, teachers, and other functions within student health and contribute to a preventive and health-promoting approach.

The role also includes quality assuring documentation, pedagogical investigations, action plans, and follow-up of support measures. You are a reliable partner to the school leadership and an important link between the student health team and the operations.

• You have a teaching license with a degree as a special teacher or special educator.
