Uppsala Vocational Upper Secondary School Jälla is a secondary school offering the Construction and Civil Engineering Programme, Electrical and Energy Programme, Plumbing and Property Programme, Natural Resource Programme, Vehicle and Transport Programme, as well as the Introduction Programme. Additionally, special education and adult education programs are located within the school's premises. The school is situated 6 kilometers from Gränby Center and currently has approximately 650 students.

At the Vehicle and Transport Programme, all staff collaborate to ensure that all students receive an education that meets industry requirements. We work together to drive development forward. The school has well-equipped facilities and good collaborations with industries in the region.

Description of Duties

In this role, you will work as a teacher of Swedish and English. You will be part of a teaching team for the Vehicle and Transport Programme, working closely together to drive development. You will also serve as a mentor for 10–15 students in Year 1.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and English and who enjoy working closely with both students and colleagues in an operation where collaboration and development are in focus.

You collaborate well with others and relate to people in a sensitive and flexible manner. You listen, communicate clearly, and handle any conflicts in a constructive way. At the same time, you have pedagogical insight, meaning you understand how people absorb knowledge and different prerequisites. Furthermore, you adapt your way of conveying information so that the message becomes clear and understandable to the recipient.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.
