Personal Assistant Wanted

Hello! I am a young woman with Rett syndrome and I am looking for a calm and dedicated personal assistant who wants to be a part of my daily life.

My diagnosis means that I have dyspraxia (difficulty coordinating muscle movements), epilepsy, respiratory issues, and sleep difficulties. I do not speak but communicate through body language and eye contact, so it is important that you are attentive and responsive to small signals.

I live independently and have assistance around the clock. During the day, two assistants work together with me.

What does a day look like at my home?

On weekdays, I train. I do various activities including physical therapy, standing in my standing frame, and using a stationary bike. You will assist me with all these activities.

I enjoy going for a walk every day, regardless of the weather. Sometimes it is also nice to stay at home and relax, for example, reading a book together.

Once a week, I like to do something extra, such as a longer walk downtown, a shopping trip, or a visit to a café. Being part of the community and experiencing things outside the home is important to me.

• Support me in my communication. I use alternative ways to communicate.
• Help me plan and structure my day.
• Assist me with personal hygiene, tube feeding, and medications.
• Be a safe and present person who is there for me.

Who are you?

• Female.
• Aged 23–50.
• Calm, kind, and responsible.
• Not allergic to dogs.
• Experience with tube feeding is a plus.
• Experience with epilepsy is a plus.

WORKING HOURS AND EMPLOYMENT DEGREE:

We are looking for someone who wants to work extra as needed between the hours of 08:00 and around 19:00. Shifts are distributed on weekdays and weekends.

SALARY:

At Vivida, you as an assistant receive a fixed base salary per hour + vacation pay and possible additional compensation. A collective agreement is in place.
