We are looking for a community advisor for the Citizen's Office in Rågsved

We are currently seeking 2 substitutes for the Citizen's Office in Rågsved.

Residents can come to us for support regarding municipal matters. As a newcomer, one can also receive housing guidance. At the Citizen's Office in Rågsved, community guidance is focused on helping our visitors move towards independence. As a pilot district in the transition to the new social services law, the Citizen's Office is also where we have our entry point to social services.

The Citizen's Office serves all residents living in the district. Community guidance is provided in an open customer area where many people are present at the same time.

The community guidance belongs to the Unit for Community Service, Advice, and Support, which also includes budget and debt counseling, summer job administration, and civil society coordination. The Citizen's Office in Rågsved also offers sign language community guidance from the City of Stockholm.

Job Responsibilities

Community advisors respond to all types of questions about municipal and public services. Practically, the tasks involve answering residents' questions about authorities, providing support in filling out forms, or helping to understand information from authorities. A common case is also wanting support in applying for or changing preschool and school.

We actively work to help our visitors increase their independence and manage their affairs on their own in the future. Within housing guidance, community advisors have individual conversations with newcomers aimed at increasing knowledge about the path to independent living.

Community guidance is provided in an open customer area where many people are present at the same time.

Qualifications

You have a university education, for example, as a social worker or political scientist.

You have previously worked with community guidance and can step into the role quite directly.

Who you are

You speak and write Swedish fluently and handle the Office suite without problems. You have pedagogical skills that contribute to visitors' ability to manage their affairs independently.

To work with community guidance, you need to easily understand contexts, be calm, and have good self-awareness. You manage many contact points with ease and do not lose focus on the task despite many things happening at the same time. Your future colleagues emphasize that patience, helpfulness, and being a problem-solver are important components of a community advisor.

It is also important that you can work independently while being a team player who collaborates well with the workgroup and other partners.

Personal suitability is highly valued.

These two positions are temporary due to leave of absence from April to August/September.

Interviews will be conducted digitally and will begin during the application period.
