Your new workplace

Destination Sundsvall is looking for three supervisors for our Summer Hosts for the summer season of 2026.

Destination Sundsvall is part of Sundsvall Municipality, the Department of Business and Growth, and works on behalf of the entire destination – Sundsvall, Timrå, and Ånge. Together, we develop an attractive place for both visitors and residents. As a supervisor, you will play a key role in leading and supporting our Summer Hosts, who meet visitors throughout the destination. Together, you will inspire more people to discover, experience, and stay longer in our destination.

Your contributions as a supervisor

As a supervisor, you are responsible for leading, supporting, and developing our Summer Hosts in their daily work and ensuring that operations run smoothly.

Your tasks include:

  • Planning, leading, and following up on the work of the Summer Hosts.
  • Inspiring and educating the Summer Hosts about Destination Sundsvall and the offerings of the destination.
  • Working actively alongside the Summer Hosts in our mobile tourist service throughout the destination.
  • Informing and inspiring visitors about activities, experiences, and attractions.
  • Contributing to creating a welcoming and professional hospitality.
  • Coordinating transport and relocating the team within the destination as needed.
  • Handling some administration and ongoing reporting to regular staff.
  • Being responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content on Destination Sundsvall's social media together with the Summer Hosts, and contributing to keeping our channels active and current by highlighting experiences and events in the destination.

The work mainly takes place outdoors via our mobile tourist service from mid-June to mid-August. Travel within the destination is expected. Weekend and evening work may be included.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has or is studying a degree in tourism, service, or similar, or has equivalent experience.
  • Has experience in service professions, preferably within the tourism industry.
  • Is confident in a leadership role and motivated to support and develop young people.
  • Has good knowledge of Destination Sundsvall.
  • Is responsible, structured, and has good collaboration skills.
  • Has an interest in social media and digital communication.
  • Can express themselves well in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Knowledge of German or other languages is a plus.
  • Requirement: B driver's license.
