Do you want to contribute to the development of support for people with disabilities? Do you have experience working with disability issues? We are now looking for an engaged case officer for a temporary part-time assignment focusing on disability policy and issues related to personal assistance, assistance compensation, and car support.

The unit works with social service issues within individual and family care as well as care for the elderly and people with disabilities. The unit is responsible for coordinating children's rights policy, disability policy, and certain social insurance benefits.
For the current position, the primary focus is on working with certain issues related to individual support that can be provided to people with disabilities, such as measures under the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS), particularly personal assistance, as well as assistance compensation and car support provided under the Social Insurance Code and measures under the Social Services Act.
The tasks are varied and include, among other things, drafting proposals for bills, government assignments, and committee directives, as well as analyzing and compiling materials for the government's positions within the unit's areas of responsibility on ongoing issues such as questions and interpellations from the parliament and correspondence, as well as coordinating unit-wide processes. Furthermore, it includes government oversight work and preparations for meetings in various types of bodies and instances. You may represent Sweden in various international processes and contexts. However, the area and tasks may change over time.

Your background
You have completed academic education and several years of relevant and current work experience from the Government Offices. Additionally, you have experience with disability issues and knowledge of the regulations concerning individual support for people with disabilities that the unit is responsible for, as well as knowledge of personal assistance and assistance compensation. You have excellent skills in oral and written communication in Swedish and good knowledge of English.
It is advantageous if you have experience working at a strategic level in a government agency, municipality, or region, and if you have experience in qualified investigative work. Also advantageous are good knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities and the needs and conditions for achieving equality in living conditions and full participation in society. You need to have a good understanding of the requirements and conditions in a politically governed operation.

Other
Temporary employment for approximately 12 months. The position is a part-time employment of 40%.
A security clearance will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
