Controller needed for assignment at an authority in Stockholm

We are now looking for you as a Controller for an assignment at an authority in Stockholm.

• Scope: Full-time 100%
• Start: Immediately
• Duration: 2026-09-30, possibly longer.

This position requires you to undergo and be approved in a security check with subsequent background verification. You must be a Swedish citizen.

There is an opportunity for some remote work by agreement with the client.

About the position

The purpose of this consulting solution is to relieve the group in the Finance Department that works with controlling and financial management. The group consists of a couple of controllers and a group manager.

Your main tasks

The assignment involves controlling projects that the Police run with external funding - i.e., projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar. This primarily involves budgeting and monitoring the project as well as various administration.

Who are you?

To be considered for the role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• high school or equivalent education
• completed education in the relevant field
• at least one (1) year of work experience as a controller
• good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• knowledge of analytical tools (e.g., QlikView, Insikt, and Power BI)
• knowledge of financial systems (e.g., Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

- You have experience working as a controller with projects funded by EU funds, Sida, or similar. Including, for example, reporting back to funders, monitoring project budgets, and reporting to auditors.

- You have documented experience of assignments or projects that are comparable to this assignment, including monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes compared to forecasts and budgets.

- You have worked as a controller in the financial area and have experience in budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and analysis.

Personal qualities:

Communicative, analytical, attentive, unpretentious, and service-oriented.

References:

You must have completed at least one (1) assignment that is comparable to the current assignment. The reference assignment must include monitoring and analysis of financial outcomes in relation to forecasts and budgets. The assignment must be documented and verifiable through a reference person.

The reference assignment can be ongoing or completed no more than three months ago.
