Business Description

Tallbacka Preschool is a three-section preschool located in the same building as Tallbacka School in the Mellanområdet area of Gällivare. The sections currently have mixed ages of 1-5 years with a maximum of 18 children in each group. The preschool is very close to nature in the Mellanområdet and utilizes this as a learning environment in teaching the children.

Tallbacka Preschool works based on sustainable development, gender equality with a clear starting point from the 2018 preschool curriculum. Tallbacka Preschool, together with Granbacka and Aurora Preschools, is part of a collegial network where we collaborate and exchange experiences. The operation is safe and well-established. We work project-based in processes with the children, and it is the children's interests and influence that form the basis for how the teaching is designed. We work a lot outdoors and use nature as the foundation for children's learning and development.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant, you, together with the rest of the team, are responsible for participating in planning, implementing activities, and reflecting within the team, as well as conducting systematic quality work in collaboration with other colleagues and teams at the preschool. The children should be given new challenges and receive support and stimulation for their development and learning. You actively collaborate with guardians and base your actions on the organization's mission and the best interests of the children in all situations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training as a preschool assistant who wants to help develop our exciting operation. It is important that you are well acquainted with our governing documents. Our mission is based on the 2018 preschool curriculum. You are a clear leader, independent, responsible, and have an easy time taking your own initiatives. Of course, you are positive and have confidence in the children's competencies and want to develop their abilities. You are interested in using digital tools and care about building trusting relationships with children and parents, as well as having good collaboration skills. You are happy to use pedagogical conversations and pedagogical documentation in your work or are willing to learn more about this. You are interested in developing the preschool and its learning environments. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare Municipality.
