Björkskataskolan is centrally located in the Björkskatan district. In the 2025/26 school year, we have 390 students from grades 7 to 9. Here, experienced and dedicated teachers and educators, leaders, and professionals work. At Björkskataskolan, we believe in creating a good atmosphere together and building relationships among everyone at the school. We have a nice local area with a hockey rink, football field, and basketball court, as well as excellent study environments indoors with good light, air, and sound levels.

At the school, there are two learning studios where resource educators and special educators/special teachers work with students to provide extra support. The work teams collaborate with the local student health team, which consists of school management, resource educators, special educators, counselors, career advisors, and school nurses. We also have a well-functioning student council that provides good opportunities for student influence, creating engaged students who care about their school and education.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a teacher for teaching home and consumer studies at Björkskataskolan 6-9. It is an advantage if you have qualifications in another subject and/or are willing to work in smaller groups with students as a resource teacher. You will collaborate with other home economics teachers to plan, implement, and evaluate the teaching. You will be part of a work team at the school and will closely collaborate with other teachers who teach other subjects.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with a license for teaching home and consumer studies. It is of great importance that you can contribute to the school's value-based work through a democratic approach and by being a good role model. You have the ability to build relationships with and between students, can clearly set structure and frameworks to create a safe environment and ensure that students have a good working environment. Furthermore, you have the ability to establish good cooperation with guardians as well as with other professionals inside and outside the school. You express yourself well in speech and writing.
