Job Responsibilities

As a leisure teacher, you support and stimulate students' development through play, movement, creative activities, and social interaction. You plan, implement, and follow up on the activities both independently and together with colleagues in a structured and responsible manner.

You work closely with teachers and other staff to create a safe, creative, and stimulating learning environment during both the school day and in the leisure activities. In this role, you build relationships and contribute to good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

Your mission includes developing the educational work in the leisure center together with colleagues based on the curriculum's goals and contributing to a meaningful and developmental leisure time for students. The work requires flexibility and the ability to adapt the activities to students' needs and the conditions of the operations.

The job also involves supporting students during parts of the school day and collaborating with guardians. In this position, there is an opportunity to use and develop activities in art and creativity in both the leisure center and the school's activities.

Qualifications

• You are a qualified primary teacher with a focus on leisure, preferably with a focus on art.

More about the position

We are looking for two primary teachers with a focus on leisure. The positions are initially placed at one school each. Since the schools are in the same principal area, the placement may change over time based on the needs of the operations.

Permanent employment, 100% full-time position. Working hours according to a rolling schedule, mainly daytime but with some variation. Start date according to agreement.

About the workplace

Klubbgärdsskolan is a smaller F–3 school located about two kilometers from Piteå center with around 75 students and two leisure departments. The smaller school environment contributes to a safe and familiar operation where students and staff get to know each other well. Munksunds school is an F–3 school located about 4.2 kilometers from Piteå center with approximately 130 students and three leisure departments. At both schools, the majority of students are enrolled in the leisure center, which creates good opportunities for collaboration between school and leisure throughout the day.

There is a close collaboration on school development between Klubbgärdsskolan and Munksunds school. Staff from both schools meet regularly for collegial learning, experience exchange, and joint development work. The collaboration contributes to a strong community between the schools and good opportunities for staff to develop in their roles.
