Job Description

We are looking for a teacher in home economics for grades 7–9. Fridhem School is a middle school with approximately 200 students. Each student has their own laptop, and we work with the learning platform SchoolSoft. You will work in teams and be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching according to governing documents. You will also be a mentor for students. We see mentorship as an important part of the teacher's mission. You have good pedagogical skills and can inspire and engage students in learning based on their different needs and can vary your teaching. You have a positive view of people and know that every child has strengths, something you also focus on in your contact with children and their parents. You invest a lot in building relationships with students. You also see the importance of creating good relationships with guardians and colleagues. You are clear and concise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to absorb new knowledge. You are driven by collaborating and communicating with others with the goal of constantly improving and developing students' learning processes. Working with digital tools is a natural part of your teaching, as is continuously following up and documenting students' work.

Qualifications:

The position requires a teaching license in home economics for grades 7–9 to obtain a permanent position. If you are in teacher training, we would like you to attach a certificate of completed courses so far. Upon employment, you are required to present a criminal record extract from the police according to the Education Act (2010:800 2 chap 31§).

The position is 100% permanent with a start date of 2026-08-12 or by agreement.
