Lapland High School is the joint high school organization for the schools in Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. Through collaboration, we can offer a wide range of programs and high competence, providing each student with the best possible conditions for a qualitative and future-oriented education.

For us, distance is not a barrier – we believe in transferring knowledge over great distances rather than moving students. This allows us to offer equivalent education, regardless of where in our area the students are located.

Lapland High School is located in central Gällivare, in the newly built Knowledge House. Here, you will meet a welcoming, competent staff group where several professions work together to create the best possible education for our more than 550 students. We conduct several vocational training programs as well as college preparatory programs, including NIU/RIG.

We are now seeking reinforcement in the form of a math/science teacher for the academic year 26/27, as the regular staff is on leave. Certification is desirable, but we also welcome other applicants with the right competence. Previous experience in teaching according to Gy-11 and Gy-25 is an advantage. You will be part of a warm and secure team with extensive experience and broad competence, where problem-solving and flexibility are a given.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching science and mathematics at the high school level, both in college preparatory programs and vocational programs. Mentorship may be included.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek certified high school teachers in science and mathematics, but equivalent competencies will also be considered. Other subject combinations within the science block may also be of interest. You should be familiar with digital tools such as O365, exam.net, Knowledge Matrix, etc. We value collaboration skills and a strong student focus. Personal suitability is of great importance.
