Do you want to help create a safe and supportive school environment where every student has the opportunity to develop? We are now looking for a dedicated substitute teacher who wants to work closely with students in need of special support.

Responsibilities: As a substitute teacher, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to support students in their daily lives. You are an important support both in the classroom and during breaks, contributing to creating structure, security, and motivation. The assignment involves working with a student group during school hours. You will be a reliable substitute when staff are absent.

Qualifications:

• Educational background in pedagogy, such as a child and leisure program or other relevant education.
• Experience working with children and youth is an advantage.
• You are empathetic, responsible, and have good collaboration skills.

More about the position

The position is full-time and is a temporary position. It extends over one term and may be extended. Start date is August 1 or as agreed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.

About the workplace

The Education Administration is one of the municipality's seven administrations. Our common mission is to create welfare and sustainable community development. Together with the residents of Piteå, businesses, and associations, we are developing Piteå into an even better place to live, work, and thrive. Porsnässkolan's upper secondary school includes about 220 students and 26 staff. The unit also includes grades 4-6, which are located a bit further away. Right now, we are working hard to design the new school that is planned to be built, which will encompass all students from grades 4 to 9.
