We are looking for a teacher/special teacher in mathematics and science subjects for adapted primary school, grades 7-9.

The adapted primary school at Fridhem School is a smaller unit. Here, the staff works together with the students in smaller groups and in b-form, which creates a unique ability to meet each student's needs. Each educator or teaching assistant is expected to have a holistic view of the students with the aim of developing their knowledge and skills to create opportunities for a rich and meaningful life.

Job responsibilities: As a teacher in the adapted primary school, you are responsible for teaching subjects and subject areas. You are familiar with and follow the curriculum's goals and intentions so that they are realized in the operation and other governing documents. You are also responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting the educational work. You should have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in the teaching. You contribute to the students' learning by bringing enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work. As a teacher, you are a good role model. You build relationships and collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role and adapt to the situation.

In the position as a teacher, you will be part of the team that together plans, implements, and evaluates the teaching in the adapted primary school. As a teacher, you work closely with teaching assistants, student health, the principal, and other staff. The adapted primary school collaborates with the practical-aesthetic subjects in the primary school. The position also includes mentorship for the students.

Qualifications:

We are looking for you who are a special teacher with a focus on developmental disabilities, which qualifies you to teach in the adapted primary school, alternatively we are looking for you who have other education, special teacher in mathematics or middle school teacher with a focus on mathematics and science subjects or experience that the employer assesses as equivalent. We would like you to have specialized in intellectual disabilities and that you have experience working with children and young people with special needs. As a person, you are solution-focused, work calmly, and have a positive view of the assignment. You see it as a strength to work in a team. You work to ensure that students feel involved, seen, and safe. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Conditions:

For the position to be permanent, a teaching license must be presented; until then, a general fixed-term employment applies. If you are in teacher training, we would like you to attach a study certificate for courses completed so far. A criminal record extract is required.

The position starts on 2026-08-12, 100% permanent.
