Assistant in Electronic Systems

The research group in electronic systems at the Department of Computer Science, Electrical and Space Engineering at Luleå University of Technology has long been established in the fields of electronic design, electrical measurement technology, and electromagnetic compatibility. We are active in education at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, as well as in several external research projects. The research group is now seeking a knowledgeable and committed student to serve as an assistant in research projects and teaching in these areas.

Responsibilities

Typical tasks for this position will include performing specific tasks in research projects related to hardware and software for energy harvesting measurement systems. Teaching in laboratory components of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels is also included in the responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

You must be enrolled at LTU in the program of engineering physics and electrical engineering, space technology, or computer engineering or a related field and be knowledgeable in electronics and embedded systems. You must be able to express yourself both orally and in writing in Swedish and English. Experience in similar work is an advantage.

Conditions

Employment as an assistant is regulated by the Higher Education Ordinance Chapter 5. Only those who are admitted to education at the undergraduate or graduate level may be employed as an assistant (HF Chapter 5 §10).

Hourly Wage/Compensation

For all assignments, you will receive an hourly wage as well as valuable work experience for your CV. Hourly wage depends on the difficulty level of the task:

• Level 1: 156 SEK/hour (equivalent to about 25,700 SEK/month for full-time work).
• Level 2: 171 SEK/hour (equivalent to about 28,200 SEK/month for full-time work).

Information

Employment as an assistant is temporary from April 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Part-time employment of 50%. The place of employment is Luleå, and physical presence at the workplace is required. The workload may vary over time and by agreement, but the goal is to distribute it in a way that is compatible with studies at the university.
