Job Responsibilities

As a personal assistant, you will support the individual in their home, based on the user's needs and wishes. Job responsibilities include practical tasks, personal care, medical interventions, leisure activities, and social contacts. You will be the support that the user needs to participate in all activities as much as possible and contribute to ensuring that the user has a good quality of life.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have completed education from the nursing program, child and leisure program, or a 1-year personal assistant training. Applicants with other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent may be considered for employment. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both written and spoken. The work should be characterized by a pedagogical approach to support the user in maintaining their skills as much as possible. It is important that you feel secure in your professional role and can act professionally. We also expect you to be social, responsive, and proactive in activities with the user. We will place great emphasis on your personal competencies.

The work as a personal assistant requires good physical fitness in terms of strength, endurance, and mobility. Since the work requires documentation, it is desirable that you have good computer skills. We also prefer that you have a B driver's license and access to a car.

More About the Position

Permanent employment with a 60% employment rate, working hours are scheduled for sleeping nights (on-call). Start date 260309 or by agreement.

The user is a young wheelchair-bound man who needs help with all his daily living activities. His main interest is computers and gaming. You who work here should be calm and secure in yourself and understand the importance of low-affect responses.
