Health Advisor

Job Description

Överkalix Municipality is seeking a health advisor to work preventively and health-promoting with elderly individuals.

The aim is for the elderly to maintain and promote their health, independence, and quality of life for as long as possible. In the role of health advisor, you will work proactively in various ways to reach the elderly from a health-promoting perspective. There is also the possibility to guide individuals to various existing interventions and activities, as well as to design activities based on the needs that exist. The work focuses on strengthening the abilities that the elderly have so that they can maintain them for as long as possible.

The work includes outreach activities and helping individuals in the best way, as well as holding meeting places, organizing activities, and providing information based on the needs and wishes of the elderly. This could include introducing Exorlive, various types of activities such as music, bingo, exercise, or similar. The purpose of these activities is, among other things, social interaction, increasing physical activity, and promoting cognitive training.

The work is based on a public health perspective and offers health-promoting activities in the form of social, physical, and knowledge-giving interventions, as well as advice and support to elderly individuals. You should also be able to plan and implement both social and physical activities. Some activities will take place in the central town, but there will also be activities in the villages.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum high school education. Training in the health-promoting field or similar is an advantage.

Experience

You should have experience working with the elderly and good IT skills.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you should be flexible, self-driven, and an engaged individual who wants to contribute to health-promoting work. A good approach is important, and you should enjoy meeting other people. You are accommodating, development-oriented, and have the ability to create activities that foster community and engage the elderly.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

The position is a project employment at 100% until 2027-12-31.
