We at Vitådalens School are looking for a primary school teacher for grades 1-6 who wants to become our new colleague!

About us

Vitådalens School is a F-6 school located in Vitå, roughly halfway between Luleå and Kalix. The school is an independent entity run by Vitådalens School, an economic association. The school operates based on the guiding principles of safety, joy, and community. We collaborate with stakeholders in Vitådalen and can therefore offer our students locally anchored activities throughout the year.

Students, guardians, and all staff at the school should feel secure in all aspects of the school's operations. We base our work on the school's plan against discrimination and degrading treatment, which is also part of the school's systematic quality work. All students at Vitådalens School should be seen and given the opportunity to succeed. Students should be challenged to try new things and explore the world in a joyful way based on their own abilities, interests, and needs. Students should feel that - YES! I can!

The school and after-school center should be a meeting place where the foundation for lifelong learning takes place, where one can laugh and, in interaction with others, dare to express and convey their feelings. Each student should be given the opportunity to develop both individually and in groups to take their own initiatives, be curious, and be brave.

We learn together, both students and adults. We desire close cooperation between the school, after-school center, guardians, and other stakeholders throughout Vitådalen. All for the students' opportunity for development in all contexts.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a teaching degree and is a certified primary school teacher for grades 1-3. You should easily empathize with others, listen, understand, and show consideration. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Job responsibilities

Plan, implement, and follow up on teaching according to the curriculum. Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Assess students' knowledge development and document results. Adapt teaching to students' different needs. Be responsible for mentorship and social development in the class. Collaborate with colleagues, student health, and school management. Maintain contact with guardians and participate in development discussions.
