Pajala Municipality is looking for a leisure teacher

Pajala Municipality is the large (in area) small municipality located in the land of the northern lights and the midnight sun – Tornedalen, in eastern Norrbotten. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• A leisure teacher works for a meaningful and educational leisure time for students before, during, and after school. The needs, development, and learning of the students are the focus.
• Your work includes planning and teaching in the leisure center.
• You are part of a work team at the school and collaborate collegially for student learning. You cooperate with other staff and professionals in the daily work at the leisure center.
• You are also a resource in a grade during the school day and contribute to safe and stimulating breaks for the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education as a leisure teacher or other educational training that the employer deems equivalent.
• Experience working with children and youth or knowledge in special education is meritorious.
• Good collaboration skills and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Creative and initiative-driven with the ability to plan and implement activities that engage and develop students.

If a qualified teacher is not available, an unqualified person may be employed temporarily. Experience in teaching is an advantage. A high school diploma is a requirement.

The person offered the position must provide an extract from the register maintained under the law (1998:620) on criminal records, as required by the Education Act (2010:800).
