JOB DESCRIPTION

As a special teacher at Luleå International School, you will have a role that truly makes a difference.

You will work at a school that offers high-quality education where teaching largely takes place in English in the theoretical subjects; English, social studies (SO), natural sciences (NO), technology, languages, and mathematics. We who work at the school collaboratively shape and develop an ambitious and structured study environment where each student has the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills. We initiate and drive exciting and creative collaborations, both internationally and within the organization. Our commitment extends beyond academic results - we build a social community where teachers, students, and families feel welcome and involved.

You will:

• design, develop, and drive the school's work with special support
• lead the promotional, preventive, and remedial work within the framework of student health efforts
• be a driving force in developing a strong and collaborative student health

You will work closely with the principal, teachers, and other staff to create structures, routines, and working methods that ensure that each student receives the right support - at the right time. You will guide, inspire, and build capacity throughout the organization.

This is a role for you who thrive when you can combine strategic work with practical guidance and student-centered interventions - and who wants to see long-term results from your work. With us, you will be involved from the beginning and influence how we build an accessible and health-promoting school - step by step.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You have a teaching license and are trained as a special teacher; experience as a special teacher and/or special educator is an advantage.
• You have good experience working with students in need of special support, both in Swedish/Swedish as a second language and mathematics.
• You are comfortable working from an intercultural perspective and have good experience meeting newly arrived students.
• You are confident in using both Swedish and English in your teaching.
• You are relational, structured, and solution-focused, with a natural ability to get people to collaborate.
• You thrive on responsibility, development, and building new things together with other engaged colleagues.
