Tjautjas School is a F-3 school located in the village of Tjautjasjaure, about 30 km or 30 minutes from the town of Gällivare. The school's teaching is conducted in a B-form due to the small number of students. The atmosphere at the school is characterized by care and closeness, and the work is always based on the best interests of the students. The school has a calm and safe atmosphere. We place great emphasis on pedagogical development, and in the coming school year, participation, collaboration, and quality development will be the focus of our development work.

Job Responsibilities

The main tasks consist of teaching, planning, and mapping in preschool class. You will collaborate with other educators. You will manage daily contact with students, colleagues, and guardians. You will actively participate in the school's joint development work together with colleagues both within and outside your own school. You will also participate in teaching at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed preschool teacher or teacher for grades F-3. You need to have knowledge of handling computers and technology in your daily work. You should be responsible, clear, and driven, and have an easy time building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Engagement, innovation, interest in, and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

A police record extract is required before employment.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. A probationary period may apply.
