Business Description

Tallbackaskolan is a F-6 school with approximately 325 students, along with an after-school program and two preparatory classes, located in a residential area between Gällivare and Malmberget. At Tallbackaskolan, we work with parts of the Gällivare model, which means that in each class in grades 1-2, there is a responsible teacher and a class mentor. In grades 3-6, a responsible teacher works with the support of a class mentor who may be attached to one or more classes. The central student health services are located at the school, and students have access to a school counselor, school nurse, 2 special educators, a school psychologist, and the principals. The after-school program complements the school by developing students' abilities through various forms of expression, based on students' interests.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, you will work with instruction. You prepare, plan, implement, and evaluate students' progress and your own teaching based on the curriculum. You will work closely with guardians. Most educators also work as responsible mentors in a class.

Qualifications

Teaching degree F-3 or preschool teacher for preschool class. You should be responsible, clear, and driven, and have an easy time building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Engagement, solution focus, innovative thinking, interest in and ability to collaborate are qualities that the school values. Personal suitability is of great importance. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an asset when applying for a position in Gällivare municipality.

A police record extract is required before employment.
