About the role
As a diagnostic engineer with us, you will work on complex and varied assignments within the automotive industry, focusing on aftermarket and diagnostics. The assignment may involve developing troubleshooting flows and DTC logic, analyzing field data from vehicles in operation, creating test cases for diagnostic functions, or supporting the development of diagnostic tools and service applications.
You may also work on evaluating new diagnostic strategies, documentation for workshops, or testing and verification in vehicle and lab environments. Regardless of the assignment, you will have the opportunity to work closely with technology, develop in your role, and contribute to solutions that make a difference for technicians and end-users.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in vehicle systems, software, and problem-solving – but above all, a curiosity about how technology actually works in practice. You enjoy working in a structured manner, collaborating with others, and contributing your expertise to find smart, sustainable solutions for our customers.
We would like you to have:
- Experience in vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting strategies
- Knowledge of CAN bus, UDS, OBD, DoIP, and vehicle electronics
- Experience with diagnostic tools (e.g., VIDA, Tech Tool, ODIS, or similar)
- Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, XML, CAPL)
- A degree in automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or similar
Meritorious:
- Experience from the aftermarket or workshop-related environment
- Knowledge of emission regulations and diagnostic-related legal requirements
- Experience in vehicle development in larger organizations
